You've Been Sentenced Family Game Giveaway

In a society where both parents not only work full time, its a necessity, and our children have become "lock-key" we have struggled to find ways to reconnect with not only our spouses but our children. There is a growing number of families who have instituted "Family Game Night" in order to re-establish that stretched connection and become present. I have come across a wonderful family friendly and educational game to add to our "Family Game Night" collection, You've Been Sentenced!

You've Been Sentenced! is a creative language game that uses pentagon-shaped cards that contain conjugations of funny words, famous names, and places. Each player is dealt 10 cards, where the players goal is to build grammatically correct and justifiable sentences while trying to score the most points per round.  Once you've made your sentence, you must defend your sentence creation to the other players that it is grammatically correct. The other players then vote on whether or not the sentence is correct or not. The players whose sentence was considered correct will be awarded the points for the cards used. The game is great not only for adults, but also for school aged children (8 and up) who are learning sentence structures. It encourages children to be use both their creativity and language skills and it definitely stimulates interest and increase motivation.

One of my favorite things about the game is the expansion pack of cards that are available. The expansion pack topics include pop culture, sci-fi fantasy, sports, Readers Digest National Word Power Challenge, & gourmet cuisine. My personal favorite is the Sci-Fi fantasy expansion pack. There are literally endless sentence possibilities so the game is never the same. You've Been Sentenced! is also available in a classroom addition and talks are in the works for a television game show! You've Been Sentenced! has won acclaim from numerous industry leaders including: Seal of Excellence from the Creative Child Magazine, Dr. Toy Best Products, Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal Award, FAO Schwartz Toy Audition Winner, and the MENSA Society's Parenting for High Potential magazines, Resource Roundup Pick!
